Expressions of Interest – Chesterfield ASB Community Forum

Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch is currently in early discussions alongside Chesterfield Borough Council and partner agencies around the potential development of a new quarterly Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Community Forum in Chesterfield.
 

At this stage, everything is still very much in the early planning stages, but we wanted to gauge whether any local coordinators may be interested in finding out more or potentially being involved as conversations progress.
 

The proposed forum would look to bring together resident representatives alongside community safety, housing and police partners, with the aim of improving communication, sharing community concerns and exploring solutions around anti-social behaviour issues affecting local areas.
 

The forum could potentially:

• Give local communities a stronger voice around ASB issues
• Improve communication between agencies and residents
• Share information and good practice
• Help identify themes and concerns across Chesterfield communities
• Support collaborative working between residents and partner organisations

The group would likely meet on a quarterly basis and aim to include a broad cross-section of residents from across the borough.
